What is Film ExChange?

ExChange is a multi-market screening network comprised of seven regional US and International film festivals. ExChange was started to give independent festivals the opportunity to cross promote their festivals in the months after their event has ended, and to extend the festival lives of the best films that are showcased at each festival. Three films are selected by a panel from each of the ExChange Network Festivals and are programmed at RxSM in Austin, TX. One film from each category (Feature, Doc & Short) will be selected to continue on to screen at the Victoria TX Independent Film Festival and compete for the prestigious Crossroads Award.

What is the Crossroads Award?

The Crossroads Award is awarded to a filmmaker each year that shows unique style, exceptional craft, and the power to communicate their vision. The winner of the Crossroads Award is announced at the Victoria Tx Independent Film Festival (VTXIFF), and awarded up to $5000. The $5000 fellowship is raised each year via our crowdsourcing partner, Rocket Hub. The Jurors at VTXIFF also select an Outbound ExChange program, consisting of 3 films from The Victoria TX Independent Film Festival. These films and are guaranteed a screening at each of festivals in the Film ExChange Network.
